According to the local indigenous legend El Yunque is the home to the good spirit Yuquiyu protector of Boriquen (name given to the island by the Tainos) and its people. El Yunque is the only tropical rain forest to be part of the United Stated National Forest System. Be ready to spend a full day walking the lush green trails and make sure to bring extra clothing so you can take a dip at La Coca waterfall.
